QR codes shouldn't die after they're printed

Why we started this

We've been on both sides of this problem - running QR campaigns agency-side for clients, and managing codes in-house on the brand side - and kept hitting the same wall from either direction: it was always more complicated than it should be to actually operate a QR code once it was printed, and none of the tools out there were flexible enough to keep up with a menu that changes weekly or a campaign that needs to pivot mid-run.

The problem

A printed QR code is forever, but the thing it points to rarely is - menus change, campaigns end, links rot. Most dynamic QR tools solve that by putting themselves in the middle: your codes live on their domain, with their branding, at their price per scan.

Just as often, the problem wasn't the code itself but the link behind it: shared shortlink domains get flagged as spam or phishing by browsers and security scanners so routinely that people stop trusting the code before they've even scanned it.

What we're building instead

QR Hero codes resolve on your own domain. You can re-point, schedule, A/B test, and analyze every scan without ever reprinting - and without asking visitors to trust a link they don't recognize.

Who we are

QR Hero is built by a multinational team spread across several countries, working the way we'd want to work ourselves: remote-first, wherever gets the best work done. Our headquarters is registered in the United States, but that's where the paperwork lives, not where the team sits.

Compliant everywhere we operate

Being incorporated in the US doesn't mean US-only privacy standards. We built QR Hero to meet GDPR and the world's other major privacy frameworks from the start, because our customers - and the people scanning their codes - are everywhere, not just where we're incorporated.

Where we are today

QR Hero is live and open for signups. We're building in the open and talking to restaurants, agencies, and retailers every week to get the details right.
